Nursery

Nursery

In the nursery class we will be initially be focusing on the 3 prime areas from the ‘early years foundation stage’ statutory document (click for link). These include:

  • Physical development
  • Communication and language
  • Personal, social & emotional development

Our curriculum is exciting, creative and is flexible to in order follow the children’s interests. We believe that we have created a happy, safe and caring nursery setting where the children are encouraged to celebrate their achievements and learn by making mistakes.

The children are encouraged to be as independent as possible – increasingly taking care of their own toileting needs, putting on their own coats and tidying up after themselves.
