SEN local offer

Our Special Educational Needs Coordinator (SENCO) is Mrs Flint and our link governor is Mr Davies. Mrs Flint is responsible for the implementation of our school’s SEND policy, co-ordinating additional support for pupils with SEN, liaising with parents, teachers and other professionals who are involved and monitoring the attainment and progress of all SEND pupils.

If you have any concerns about your child’s learning or if you think that they may have a special educational need, please do not hesitate to speak to your child’s class teacher or Mrs Flint and together we can plan the best method of support for your child.

At Canon Johnson we pride ourselves on being an inclusive school. We recognise that children learn in different ways and at different rates and that some children may need extra support or intervention to help them to reach their full potential.

We asked some of our children what they liked about being at Canon Johnson CE Primary?

This is what they said; “..working on projects with Mrs Crolla. I’ve done Pirates of the Caribbean, Wizards and Potions, Chinese Dragon, a dinosaur landscape of how they become extinct. I play memory games and snakes and ladders so we catch sounds and words on the computer.” Jake Year 6

“… reading dinosaur books and my Pokémon club at lunch club with my friend McKenzie , talking in class assemblies and getting swimmer of the week award! Jacob Year “

” .. playing adverb games, doing topic, science when we did experiments with ice cubes and they melted. Reward times working with Mr Keaney making and building things.” Alfie Year 4
